Excellent photographs, Diane! The lighting on this trip was perfect for this kind of scenic, IMO.

It appears that rural WV has the same problem as rural TN - no road shoulders to allow one to park safely out of the travel lane(s). What did you do - just stop and turn on your hazard warning lights?

Well, the good thing about those one lane roads through much of the countryside is that there is minimal traffic, so we just parked to the side a bit and kept an eye out for anyone coming down the road.
