Nail polish remover or acetone will dissolve super glue.
With no women in the house, we don't have the nail polish remover, but I do have acetone.

Mouse/rodent, sticky/glue traps. They are illegal in most countries, as they should be. They are indiscriminate of victims. You would be hard pressed to image a more horrifying and soulless demise of its captives.
Two things come to mind after reading this thread. I oftentimes refer to my jeans as “pants.” Does that make me a bad person? Or just ignorant of proper language usage?
If I had super glue stuck to my scrotum, I’d greatly prefer acetone over hydrochloric acid. I suspect the latter would remove the glue along with whatever the glue was stuck to.

Probably really don't want to use any of those solvents on your skin. You know.... cancer. In the ER they usually use a scalpel and a very precise touch. Especially when someone has rubbed their eyes and glued their eyelids together!
"Dungarees".... Jerry - you no doubt keep your "billfold" in a pocket. Or, as one young man advised me when I pointed out that he had "dropped his billfold": "Ha! That's what my grandpa calls it"! Sheesh!
My story about those goo traps is not so good. A neighbor had put out a large size one to trap rats in the yard. Unfortunately, a good size crow stepped in and while trying to free itself, also had wing and breast feathers stuck in the glue. We heard an amazing number of crows sounding the alert...maybe as many as 100. I went out to see if I could do something, not knowing exactly what the issue was.
I attempted to free the crow and soon my fingers were stuck too and I wasn't being much help. My wife was watching and asked what she could do. I yelled for her to bring some scissors and a towel to cover the crow in hopes of calming it down. It took about 10 minutes for me to clip the glue to free the feathers, and then I managed to get the feet extracted. All of the crows hung around making an amazing amount of noise in concern for their companion. Once I took the towel off the crow headed down the street like 747 trying to take off and finally got airborne. Within a minute all the crows were a block away in large trees and quieting down.
So I would like to see those glue traps outlawed. Not even mice or rats deserve that kind of slow death.
Jerry,
We listen to The Sunday Puzzle on NPR on Sunday mornings. A week or two ago, one of the answers included the word "dungarees". I had to explain to my 36 year old son and his wife what "dungarees" were. They had never heard the term. Sigh . . . .

Yes, I do. I just can't seem to let go.
