If you feed them . . .

they will come. Taken through our living room window. Experience has shown that opening the deck door results in a mass departure. The lines across the picture are cables that serve to keep people and other things safe on our deck. If this winter goes as last year there will be even larger crowds.

I think if you threw down a couple of shovels full, they would stay until nothing whatsoever was left 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈

Very nice. Do you have a suet feeder? That will attract woodpeckers and other species. If you have a butcher shop or a willing meat department you can get a big chunk of suet for a few bucks (or free) and hang it in a net bag like oranges come in. I think they like that better than the processed (and expensive) suet. The processed suet is less likely to melt and cause a mess in the summer, though.

Looks like my place. I keep an area clean with my snowblower and feed them daily. I just purchased my first stock for the winter. $208.00😫😫😫😫
