TT Artisans 27 mm f2.8 autofocus for Fuji X-Mount

Received this new lens yesterday direct from TT Artisans. Tried it on Fuji X-Pro 1 and XT20. No matter what combination of configurations just cannot get this lens to autofocus. Won't even focus manually. And yes have tried switching front dial to manual focus and enabling the camera to focus without lens via the menu. Has anyone any suggestions or have a purchased a dud lens? It is brand new.

I can not offer help, only sympathy. It is very disappointing and frustrating when a new piece of equipment doesn’t work properly. I hope you get it straightened out quickly. Good luck.

Sorry for your problem. Hopefully you can return it and either get a replacement or a refund. Otherwise you are SOL.

Hi
Just asking if that lens is compatible with that model camera. Or is the lens defective?

I recently bought TT Artisans 35mm f/1.4 to use on my X-mount cameras and it works wonderfully. Focusing is a breeze using the focus assist highlighting in the viewfinder. It is reminiscent of using a vintage rangefinder with match needle metering. I would contact your seller about the lens and do it before it’s too late for returns.

You might have to make sure you enable lens as it is not recognized.

I received my copy a few days ago, but only had chance to connect it my X-T20 last night. Works as expected. Autofocus acceptably fast, does hunt for the main subject in low light, manual focus is quick and easy to fix (but it is an autofocus lens). Wants to focus on the closest object. There is a firmware update, but it require a Windows 10 or lower (no Mac support). I'm currently running Win 11 and Mac. I need to dig up an old computer to install the update. For the price I'm more then happy with it on my old X-T20. I'd give it a very good to excellent (depending on the situation) rating.

Sorry you received a bad copy.
