The church has been gone for almost a century but the little cemetery is still tended by someone who periodically mows the grass. The most moving grave is one with a rather elegant headstone marked "Our Little Willie" who died in 1862 at the age of 5 1/2. There is no family name on the stone and he died before the advent of death records in our county. It saddens me every time I visit to think of that little boy with no traceable family.
