Really nice images. I prefer the first one. Both photographs appear to be from the same viewing angle but the foregrounds are different. What I’m seeing in the first image is a closer position to the small treed island in the lake with an evergreen stand in the foreground. The second image is from a more distant viewpoint along the same line away from the island, but the evergreen stand isn’t there where one would expect it to be.

Very nice. I like your B&W and the mood it reveals but #2 is just amazing. I have not been there in a long time, makes want to revisit. Thank you for sharing.

i really like the Black and White rendition. The mountain shapes and lake are strengthened which adds impact to the composition
