Some do........ But you have no way, without a computer/monitor, to watch/see what is going on, which you get here because this is used with a computer, through the built in wifi and hub.

The whole point of the power hub is you don’t need a computer. You can control it with your phone.

Your right, phones are basically computers, so yes you can use a phone and a hard drive.

Whether I'm taking a laptop or not my Penguin weatherproof cases go along and I sort through the cards when I get home (or the hotel business center or wherever).
I have one for each camera body (my T4i/650D has several SD cards set up with Magic Lantern so I keep them segregated even though they'll work in the T6/1300D).
They're dust and waterproof and - if I recall correctly - float.

The tape is to remind me visually which side of the case the ML chips are on
Plenty of room for chips so that even if I'm shooting video i shouldn't run out
