On two of my computers I've been getting error messages when I try to process a photograph with a watermark in Lightroom. Sometimes the error continues even when I opt out of the watermark. In either case, it won't allow me to save the image to a JPEG file. I'm wondering if there is a driver problem. If so, how can I fix it without creating problems elsewhere. Any suggestions? You all have helped me on difficult problems in the past, and I appreciate your insight.
We can guess at possible causes. But, contacting Adobe via their Technical Support chat is probably both your most effective and efficient option for a resolution.

Since it is happening on both, I doubt it is a driver problem, but more than likely the way you have LR set up.
I would call support and chat with them.
Good luck.
I've had Export presets "blow up" when a new parameter was added with new software that didn't exist in my old software. The "blow up" was no default value was set for that missing parameter. The OP's watermark problem might be a similar issue, or something brand new, like a missing font, or a missing watermark file, or still something else. Adobe is best positioned to review and address.
It is a known bug with LR12. Expected to be fixed next week.

It is a known bug in LR12. Adobe support said it should be fixed next week. I have seen workarounds on YouTube but they did not work for me. Reverting LR11.5 results in losing edits made in LR12 so be careful.
I have found that watermarks work best as png files.
Thank you for all your suggestions. I'll probably try to work it out with tech support.
