Focus Stacked Image of a Volcano (Not Really)

Okay, I know it's not a volcano, however, it sure looks like one. It's actually part of a milkweed seed that I took out of a pod and staged for a focus stacking session with a piece of pastel-colored paper set behind it a bit of a distance and washed with a soft light down the length of it.

When I viewed it through the lens of the camera, it reminded me of an erupting volcano. This session was staged with a 50mm enlarger lens mounted on a bellows.

Thanks, NMGal. Sometimes common things don't appear so common when viewed in different ways.

Ditto! It has a fiber optics look to it.
