Yes, I saw the Pioneer laser disk in Audio Den in Lake Grove, NY.
It had some picture, but I could see the problem with it.
I could see a slight amount of jumpiness I couldn't live with.
Yep, Napster. Never got into that. Don't remember why.

I never seen jumpiness. What I did see in early DVD was mpg compression in the shadows looked like big blocks. It seemed they overcompressed in those days.It eventually got better. I then bought an HD DVD player for my xbox. It turned out to be the betamax of digital disk format.

I remember. I put a brand new 8 track in my ‘55 Chevy Panel Truck. It cost most of my two week paycheck to buy it.

I had an 8-track in my '65 Ford 427, and I added a reverberator! Wow! High tech!

That's not nice of them!

Adobe doesn't let you validate old software, but for the price of a cup of coffee, you can subscribe!

Jerry I forgot about those. If I hit a bump hard enough the springs inside would make a racket. In my Austin Healey a joint in the road was enough to set off the reverb

Customers paid $800 to $1000 dollars for that program which is expensive even with inflation now. The software works, Adobe just decided they won't let you use software you paid for.

Now they adopt the attitude, "You will own nothing and be happy about it." It is not about the price it is about how a big corp thinks they can do whatever they want and you will do what they say and be happy.

Sorry, I don't support companies like that. And if that does not piss you off, then we are lost as a country and are willing to take anything the elite and government give us.

No disagreement from me. I paid for LR6 and PS6 years ago, and I'm still using them. I dread the day when I won't be able to install them on a new computer. Fortunately, we have ON1, Paintshop, Affinity, Luminar, and others available now.
