Hi John,
If you want to go, this may be the time to go. If you go there later, a lot of the leaves will be gone. I noticed the obvious difference between this morning and a week ago. My favorable points to take photos are in the north end and the south end. For north end, you can view at the edge of the parking lot southward. My first photo was taken from this location. Any time of the day, it looks good. You can also view different directions from the paved trail next to the campground which is not far from the above parking lot.
For south end, you can go to the boat ramp by entering the drive way off the main road with sign "Horse.....". I go there a few times but cannot remember the exact words on the sign.

I am a displaced Castleton native. Some of my fondest memories are of going to Brown County in the fall. Not only are the colors fantastic, your pictures do them great justice, but Nashville was a pleasant place to visit. Fried chicken, biscuits and apple butter. It has been many years since my last visit, traffic was overwhelming getting into the park and Nashville. Again, thanks for this post, brought back many wonderful memories. Cheers -- Dan.
