Traveled to Farmington Bay Bird Refuge today. I wanted to find a place to sit and take photos of birds in flight to play around with my new Nikon Z9 camera. Not too many in flight and not in one spot. Although I did get a Harrier Hawk fly by as I sat in my Jeep. Beautiful day for a drive not so much for birding.
It was nice to get out in some beautiful weather.

Enjoy,
Steve

Great captures

all great shots without exception, but if I could only pick one to hang on my wall, I believe it would be the Pelicans.

These are certainly about as awesome as they come - and I love those pelicans Did you know an individual pelican's beak can hold more than its belican

These are certainly about as awesome as they come ... (show quote)

Joe,
Thanks for your comments as always. I really like your fact about a pelican’s beak. Can’t wait to tell that fact to my grandkids!
