I have an Epson 3880, about 10 years old! Looking at Epson P700 or Canon Pro 300 to replace the 3880... I find more bad reviews on the Epson P700, But fantastic print quality. Canon Pro 300 decent reviews & cheeper ink cost! I print no larger the 13in!

I'm having a hard time making a decision!

Thank You
Alex

One that confuses the usual 13" choices is the Epson® EcoTank® Photo ET-8550 SuperTank printer.

Based on my satisfaction with the out of production Canon Pro-100, my personal dilemma. would be choosing between the Epson ET-8550 and the Canon Pro-200. Dye ink prints will out live me so I'm not concerned about the extra longevity of the pigment inks in the Pro-300 or P700.

Another dye ink choice is the affordable Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000.

I've had great experience with my Canon printers and suggest you look into the Pro-200. No clogs n all the years I've had it, even when I've not printed for a good long time.

I’ve had the same experience with my Pro100. Great dependable printer.

I have the Epson ET-8700 super tank. Love it. I’ve also had Canon, and they make great printers too, but if you need help, I think it is much easier to get through to a real human at Epson than Canon, based on my experience

I bit the bullet and have a Canon Pro 1000. 12 Ink at $700.00 but large cartridges. Picked the Pro 1000 because at a show and Canon was printing for us and they were using the 1000. If that is what they use at a show it's good for me.

PS, I age thousands in equipment to take (hopefully) great pictures and the print is the last step in showing my work, why cut corners?

I've had the same experience with my Pro-100 over several years.

I have an Epson WF7200 that I've had to call Epson about twice, once for a horrible clog, once after changing computer hard drives and found the opposite. I've called Canon once about my Pro-100 and needed help using a 11x14 paper that wasn't in the menu to print.

I second the no clog issue with the Canon Pro printers.

Either printer will probably do the job. I've had both brands over the last couple of decades. I now use a Canon 100 and LOVE it. I use the refillable ink carts and Precision Colors Ink. If I had to make the decision I would slightly lean towards the Canon that would work with Precision Ink. YMMV. Just one man's opinion. As I mentioned at the start of this comment -- either will probably do the job very nicely. Pick the one that will do what you want it to do and work with the ink you want -- at the price you want.

I third the Canon pro 100 ability to print and not clog and rest for a month or 2 and not clog. It also prints amazing photos. So I would go with the Canon pro 200 and precision Colors for ink.

This is like a Nikon/Canon question. I'm very happy with my Epson (P800) printer! Best of luck.
