1947-49 Chevrolet Thrift Master Pickup
Now THAT is a pickup truck. I have no idea what the monstrosities are that are sold as pickups today!

As a guy born in 1943, these were the best-looking vehicles ever made. Got an old Mercedes SL and an old Vette.
Need to swap them for a good old Chevy pickup.
Beautiful shot of a memorable truck. What a lot of people do not realize is the step side was often used to transport farm animals as the wheel wells in the fleet side pickup presented a safety hazard to the animals causing them to trip and fall.

Probably the best looking blue vehicle I have ever seen - in a great composition no less 🔵💙💙💙🔵
You obviously never saw my 1973 blue Chevy pickup (Bonanza package) with the vinyl woodgrain trim down the sides. V8, air, pushbottom radio, power brakes, power steering and whitewall tires. Cost me $3,300 cash American.
First new vehicle I bought after being discharged from U.S. Navy. Wish I had a photo of that jewel.

Now that is my color of a truck. Good shot
Great image. I wonder if the "thrift master" was a widely sold model, but whatever it sure is a grand name.
Thriftmaster was one word.
They also had a Fleetmaster. And a Fleetline. Made a jillion of them
right after WWII.
