Hey Guys; I need your all’s help with my Fuji X-S10 Camera! When I take a picture, there’s a thing in the view finder like little squares that goes round and round and it says “storing”! I can’t take another picture until it clears! It does it on single shot or continuous!! The card I am using is the SanDisk Extreme Pro 170 MB/S
Is it the card or a wrong setting on my camera or what? We’re getting ready to go to the Smoky Mountains for vacation and I need help to get this resolved please!!
Thanks, Lee Roman
Are you shooting raw+jpeg on a card thaz nearly full ?
I have a high end Canon that acts that way when its 64MB cards are over 90% filled and Im shooting raw+jpeg. It can take about 30 sec to clear up for use after a 3 frame mini burst (3 or 4 frames is the limit before the 30 sec delay cuts in).
Even if its not nearly full, I would offload everything and deep format it in a PC (can take about 1/2hr) and then format in-camera.
Or you could just try another card.
Thank you so much for the reply, I will definitely try that!!! 👍🏼🙌

Youre welcome.
The notice on your camera says "Storage" ... storage = card, and card = storage. Theres no real storage in the camera itself. The buffer can sort of smooth the flow but its not really storage.
My troublesome Canon is an early high rez model and its buffer cant manage a stream of 75MB shots. I have a much later high rez model that seldom boggs down but relies on XQD Express type B cards ... insanely fast and expensive at over $1 per GB (more $ for even faster.)
BTW if youre using raw files see if your camera offers compression for raw files.
Ok my friend thanks, I will check that out and try that avenue!!!😊
It could also be caused when you set a value for Clarity in the Image Quality setting.
The best advice I can give you is to call Fuji. I have two Fuji cameras and when I’ve had a problem or question their service have always answered my question or solved the problem. Here’s the phone number 800-569-3854.
Your problem might be too slow a card. Try a 300mb/s SanDisk card.
Thanks for that contact number to Fuji‼️

What David said. I have the X-S10 too and changing certain settings like this will slow the process of sending the info to the SD card. These kinds of settings are best done in post-processing.
I have all settings like this at 0.
will
My Fuji X-Pro3 (26mp) had the same issue and it was perplexing to me. I did reset the image IQ settings as recommended above (color, sharpness, noise reduction, clarity) to 0 and the problem disappeared.

Thanks again guys for your info and Help!! Greatly appreciated!!
I think you’re describing either eye focus or auto focus that you have turned on. Try aiming the camera at something in the viewfinder when this happens and pressing the shutter.
My Fuji XT4 does this when I have inadvertently turned the dial to the hdr setting.
