Vietnam: Lang Co Beach

We stopped for lunch at the beautiful Lang Co Beach Resort before continuing our journey to Da Nang.
Lang Co Beach is a famous tourist destination located in the south of Hue city - the ancient capital of Vietnam. With smooth white sand-dunes under the shadow rows of coconut trees and the comfortable weather, Lang Co Beach is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Today, Lang Co is recognized as the national tourist attraction and also is the 30th member of the World’s most beautiful bays Club. Therefore, each year, there are millions of international and domestic tourists coming here.
Lang Co Beach is about 60 kilometers from the center of Hue city and about 40 kilometers from Noi Bai Airport. With the length of approximately 8 kilometers, Lang Co Beach stretches along the National Highway 1A and lies under the foot of Hai Van Pass. Nearby the Lang Co Beach, there is a small fishing village called Lang Co Town of which local people have contributed significantly to preserve the natural beauty of Lang Co Beach. Therefore, Lang Co Beach is the harmonious combination between human and nature.
Like other places in the central part of Vietnam, Lang Co Beach just has two main seasons: rain season and dry season. However, because of the effect of geographical features, Lang Co has a mild climate with the average temperature about 25C. For this reason, Lang Co Beach is a year-round tourist attraction.
From April to August - The peak season for sea tourism
During this period, although the weather of surrounding areas is quite hot with over 35C, the temperature at Lang Co still remains constantly from 25C to 28C. Moreover, the sea is blue jade with smooth white sand stretching along coconut trees and the beautiful sunny sky. Also, this is the suitable time for sea sports and fishing. As a result, millions of tourists come to Lang Co Beach each summer.
From December to March - Travel with reasonable prices
This period is the winter in Lang Co Beach so the temperature is a bit low at 10 - 15C and the number of tourists coming decrease significantly. For this reason, the prices of resorts, hotels and other tourism services are much cheaper. If you are interested in the peaceful atmosphere and want to see the beauty of the beach in the winter with a reasonable price, Lang Co Beach would be your best choice.
Note: In the period from September to November, you should not come to Lang Co Beach because this time is considered as the hurricane season in central part of Vietnam. Maybe, many tropical storms would hit Lang Co and in some case, the local authority will not admit for tourists to come here.
Lang Co Beach Resort - A relaxing stay in Lang Co
Lang Co Beach is an affordable resort with elegant design and full facilities. There are restaurants, massage services, tennis court and business center inside the campus. Also, the resort offers both couple rooms and family villas with sea view and pool view. The resort's restaurant serves both Vietnamese and Western food throughout the day.

Hai Van Pass - The most scenic hillside road in Vietnam
Hai Van Pass is lying on Highway 1 on the border between Lang Co Town and Danang City. This is the highest pass in Vietnam (about 500 meters above sea level) and the final section of the Truong Son Range stretching to the sea. This is the ideal destination for thrill-seeking motorcyclists due to its blind corners, winding roads, sudden curves and gorgeous views of Da Nang City, Tien Sa Port, Son Tra Peninsula and Lang Co Beach.
If you love backpacking tourism, Hai Van Pass is an ideal place. Because when you go through Hai Van Pass, you can experience two feelings: amazement of running through the pass in the clouds and fear of seeing the dangerous curves of the road. You can rent motorbikes at your hotels or rental companies with the price from VND 60,000 to 120,000 per day for your trip.
Bach Ma National Park - A wonderful destination for nature lovers
Bach Ma National Park is located approximately 30 kilometers from Lang Co Beach, covering the total area of nearly 22.000 hectares stretching from the coast to the Annamite mountain range at the Lao border. At Bach Ma, you can see a wide variety of habitats and biodiversity with more than 1400 species of plants and 132 kinds of mammals including rare ferns, orchids and birds in Vietnam Red list. Therefore, this is the favorite destination of bird observer.
Besides, Bach Ma is well-known for majestic landscapes. When you reach to the top of Bach Ma mount, you will see the mighty and astounding Do Quyen Waterfall which is more than 300 meters high and 20-30 meters wide. Also, you can go to Hai Vong Dai - a sea observation post, where you will have a wonderful view of the vast sea and surrounding scenery.
The best time to visit Bach Ma National Park is in the summer from February to August, especially in February when the special flower named Rhododendron Simsii to blossom along small streams of waterfall. There are some buses going to Bach Ma Mount if you want to travel by yourself or you can book daily tour to Bach Ma for your convenience.

Thanks very much Dennis. We actually stayed at Furama on China Beach in Da Nang but Lang Co looked like a great place to stay.
