I rented one for a few day's and was impressed by it's speed and clarity so much that I ordered one and it just came yesterday. I've already taken some pics of my grandson as well as my dog and love it.

what a handsome little dude. he's very photogenic. I don't have any expierence with that particular sigma, but am very happy with a 24-50 af sigma for nikons that i own. its 25 years old and still sharp as a tack. i do recomend sigma.

Something we all need to keep in mind when reading that a particular lens isn't sharp, is that the fault might lie in the auto-focus system of the camera. Make sure you do manual focus tests before concluding that a lens isn't sharp.
