Thanks Mark, as for the trumpet I will have to defer your call. If someone put a gun to my head and told me to declare if that's a Bach Stradivarius, I would have to say yes and hope that Iwas right.

I’m not positive. Loved the mood(s) captured in your images.

Be well!!

Well done, Frank!! I may be wrong and it's probably not important, but I think the woman's trumpet is a Bach Stradivarius. I had one from 52' and gave it to my grandson. Jazz is always good!

Great captures!!
Mark

Good on you, Mark!😎

You’re right about that. Good weather to go along with with good music.

A couple of weeks ago my wife and I went to an outdoors jazz and blues festival. Here are a few shots from that afternoon. Now adays ou don't see a lot of clarinet players or female horn players.

Great shots, Frank! I almost can hear this woodwinds chorus...However, I think there is no shortage in female horn players currently. They are everywhere from symphonic orchestras to military bands. Just listen to Ingrid Jensen, a great jazz trumpeter...

Thanks for the compliment. Glad I was able to illicit that reaction. As for female horn players you’re probably right. We can chalk it up to a new era in music. I will give Ingred a listen to.

I sure miss going to hear Tom Saunders and friends play in the Detroit area back in the 70s-80s. His nephew (Tommy the Tuba) Plays in New Orleans as Tom Saunders and the Hot Cats. These pics bring back those toe-tapping memories! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks JMaas, I was going for that the viewer would almost hear the music. We stayed for three groups and they were all terrific.
I too will go to YouTube to hear different groups.
BTW welcome to the Hog.

Thanks..look up anything on You Tube by Tom Saunders, Wild Bill Davison, or Tom Saunders and the Hot Cats. (Nephew of other Tom Saunders, no longer with us 😢). Tom from the Hot Cats plays Tuba and Bass…his Uncle Tom Saunders was a down and dirty cornetist in the style of Wild Bill Davison; both sadly gone now.
