My first idol. I learned to play jazz by playing along with his records. I wore them out. Later I played with Ziggy Elman, Ray Anthony, Raphael Mendez, The Dorsey's, Miles, Chet, Maynard, Lee, Freddy, Count, Stan, ... I wasn't that good, but I did have fun and performed at local spots, dances, weddings, ... My love for music is a constant in my life.

This is good old big band swing from the 50's - 70's. I saw him and most big bands in the 50's at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ during the summers. Wow! I sure was lucky!

In his later years his orchestra stayed in Las Vegas and his drummer was from Pennington. Tony DeNicola whom I new and played with locally
