Herb.. it wasnt so long ago some posted threads about losing its status bad the worlds reserve currency.
Now
“” The most important currency in the world is on a roll. The dollar has climbed by around 20% over the past year against a basket of global currencies, and is at its highest level in 20 years
“”
Consumers in the US don't care about the global currency or economy. You tell that to the millions and millions of people who are paying higher gas prices and higher food prices among other things and that are struggling.

Did you read the previous article you posted?
- stronger dollar helps curb inflation by making imports cheaper,
-Foreign sellers are more inclined to drop prices when the dollar becomes more valuable, translating to lower prices for imported products that Americans buy.
-good for American travelers, who can get more for their money in other countries
-stronger dollar can make real estate in the United States more expensive for foreign buyers, making those investments less attractive to them. That could help relieve some price pressures in the housing market, a positive outcome for Americans trying to buy homes,

Yes I actually did but obviously you didn't read it all. The reason the dollar is strong compared to other countries is going to have very little effect on the consumer in the U.S.
"But with prices running as high as they are now, that may not provide much relief to consumers. Chandler said the strength of the dollar could shave off 0.2 or 0.3 percent off overall inflation, a small amount compared to the 9.1 percent increase in consumer prices from a year ago."
“Wages are not keeping pace with inflation,” Chandler said. “And so does a stronger dollar really do that much for it? Probably not.”

THAT'S BS, A small home 50 years ago could be had for 10,000 of those dollars, that same home today, requires you pony up about 500,000 of those same dollars. That means that the dollar has been devalued by 500%!!
