???

Do you mean Nikon 14-24mm or 12-24mm?

The Nikon 14-24mm is an FX lens. The Nikon 12-24mm is a DX lens.

Nikon 14-24mm or Sigma 14-24mm? (I'm assuming Nikon, but it's always dangerous to assume.)

I have essentially every wide lens made - and the one I reach for is the sigma 8-16 - that is very close to what the eye perceives

Looking at the following
Nikon 14-24
Signs 14-24
Tampon 15-30
I have read many reviews, I put more faith in the opinions of my fellow members. I have a D850 and D810.
Thanks in advance

I have the Tamron on my D850 and love it. Excellant IQ. I love the extra mm on the long end. It's a bear of a lens, bigger than my 24-70 but very well built.

Stan, which camera are you using that 8-16mm lens on, I may be mistaken but the 8-16 is for an APS-C camera, the OP only listed FF lenses as being under consideration.

I have a tokina 16x28 on a D810 and find it is very sharp throughout the range. It has that funky mftoaf thing but otherwise has stood me well. Used it in Iceland and Europe and the pictures were great.

I have owned the Tokina 16-28 and it is a good lens, I did not find it as good as the Canon 16-35 but in the used market I have seen the Tokinas go in the $300 range which is a steal, I am pretty certain that it would out preform the RF 15-30.

Acoarst ! Doesnt take much to solidly "outperform" a 28/7.1. Not so useful.
