The Golden “SPIRAL”
The golden spiral is a photographic composition technique to create eye movement thru an image. I took this photograph of the abandoned ruins of the chapel at the historic old Joliet Prison originally built in 1858 and finally closed in 2002. It was used as part of a set for several movies including James Cagney in White Heat, the Blues Brothers, Prison Break and a few others.
I used a the wide angle 16 mm lens distortion to create the spiral effect to attempt to illustrate the photographic technique.

William, you were close. It was bacon instead of ham.
When I lived in San Diego I used to roller blade around Mission Bay every day for an hour and I did a pretty good pace. I used to visit Chicago every summer and I used to roller blade from Irving Park Rd to Navy Pier and back which took me about an hour and a half round trip. It was great except almost getting mugged around Ohio street.

I have some S's. I'm looking forward to all the submissions for this one.
