I saw an ad for Arsenal II on Facebook today and was wondering what it does? Would it somehow take over my R6's settings and make things better? Does anyone here use Arsenal, how, does it help, is it worh the purchase price? Just curious, looking for some clarification.

When I saw the title, I thought you might be discussing the English football team. I have no idea what this other Arsenal is. (Yes, I will Google it.)

I take it the emphasis was on "Arse".

Lots of old threads here on it. Do a search and you will find it is not well received.

I is old school,
I first think of a Soviet brand of cameras.
From what I hear from actual users, it's kinda like a golf trainer.
If you're a noob, you'll learn some basics,
Tomorrow you'll wipe it off an eBay it.

Arsenal is just another gimmick product that's meant for people who don't want to learn the basics required to take a photograph. It's a joke.

Bought one when they first came out. Almost used it, then sold it on eBay a week later. If you know the basics about photography, this is superfluous.

It aimed as those people while I am impressed with the claimed capacity of the device to interface with the camera. If indeed it can remotely control that well the technology is much more useful if it is to be used to implement an automation algorithm developed by the photographer. Imagine you have a camera can do all the decision exactly the same as you would make yourself?

I bought the Arsenal Pro 2 and frankly, I would have been better just burning the money in my back yard and roasting marshmallows. The main reason I purchased it was for focus stacking...major disappointment. No firmware updates in months.

I have the ll, they still do not have all the bugs worked out. They don’t have the panoramic mode installed yet. Night photos are ok. Long exposures simulation is ok, I’m not pleased with the focus stacking. Not much help from the tech people on that. They basically said “just experiment “ . I have had mine for about 6 months now and played with it half a dozen times. I use it with my Sony a7iii

If you own a Canon R6 why would you need Arsenal? It is an expensive gimmick to satisfy an episode of GAS. At the end of the day, it will remain in the box on the shelf. Please don’t invest money for a hunk of junk.
