Why are Liberals so Quiet About the Border Crisis?

Set aside that Biden is allowing 2 million + illegal crossings each year into our country, to put that into perspective for you that is a population greater than 38 individual states in this country, but even more disturbing is the fentanyl crisis.

Last year we lost over 107,000 of our people to drug overdoses and this year will probably be worse, even more alarming is that the drug cartels are using the fentanyl to counterfeit legitimate prescription drugs so our kids may think that they are buying a legitimate pharmaceutical when in fact they are purchasing fentanyl one tab of which very well may kill them.

Even worse! Fentanyl is now being packaged to look like children's candy, remember Sweet Tarts when you were a kid? Well just take a look at the image below.

For you liberals out there, is having control of the government really worth the disaster to which Biden and the current crop of democrats are driving us towards head on at full speed? Is there nothing that you would take a stand against and tell your party to STOP! Fix our problems first and take back control of our borders.

As far as I am concerned we should be looking at Mexico as we did Afghanistan, as a clear and present danger to the youth of this country and let them know that if they don't stop the drug flow that we will be sending our military in with air support.

Meant to say a population greater than 38 states across his 4 year term. And here is the pic I meant to post.

Well, at least three liberal mayors of alleged sanctuary cities are now screaming about the inhumanity of a few busloads of illegals showing up in their cities...you know they are getting a very small taste of the border problem.

Texas has bused some 10,000 illegals to DC, New York, and Chicago...while we get 100,000 to 200,000 of them per month...and the three liberal mayors are trying to create a crap show.

They are just blaming the wrong administration for their "huge" humanitarian crisis problem.

Gov Abbott is playing the three of them like a cheap fiddle! Brilliant.

But that doesn't answer the OP question.

Most of the drug flow comes in large shipments through ports of entry.

No doubt some small time trafficers cross the border in deserted regions...but there is no distribution system available in isolated locations like there is after a major port of entry.

Fentanyl is a major problem...but to blame the majority of the problem on illegals with a backpack in the middle of a desert does not even scratch the issue.

I agree that illegals carrying backpacks are not the ones bringing in the fentanyl, but what they do is overwhelm border enforcement resources allowing drug smugglers to cross undetected. I am unaware of any reporting that discusses major ports of entry v other methods of crossing the border. It would be interesting to read about that if you have sourcing.

Not just drug smugglers but also illegal arms are being smuggled across the border in an alarming amount.

Child trafficking.... WTF is wrong with the dems, giving our border to the cartels?

I am not going to look up sources, but I have seen many reports of major busts...and they are all trying to come through a port of entry.

I have not seen any reports of major busts out in the middle of nowhere.

While it's true that the large major shipments are caught at the major ports there's still an extremely high volume of smaller ones being backpacked across although I suppose you are not concerned about several individual backpacks full of drugs and other things since they have stopped a container box at the major port.

"I suppose you are not concerned"

Rather snarky with no basis in what I said...

You were the one making light of the fact that you were not aware of any major busts.
That is indicative of not deeming the small ones worth your time.

Send a few by bus to NYC or Chicago and they get mighty upset.
