Back again for #2 of 4 collections from the Costa Rica trip I took in 2019. This was when my physical condition was impaired but not so severe as it became later. CR was on my bucket list and I decided on a Road Scholar tour which I thought was reasonable for me to handle. This would also be the first tour I had ever booked as all travel prior was done either personally planned or at most Hosted. That meant that you booked your own transport and were met in your destination by a guide who would direct you to your hotel (already arranged by us) and then give a tour of the city. From that point on you were on your own.
My wife was very concerned about my taking this; decidedly because she would not be going with me. I insisted and went anyway. The RS tour was listed as "Keep the Pace" and it worked out very well, although some of the trekking along rough and stony trails and some steep upward inclines made me work pretty hard to keep up.
If I were in the same condition as then, I would seriously consider going back again to see a different section of the country.
I hope you enjoy this and are not becoming bored.
