I have had Brooks Falls on my bucket list for many years. I do more landscape photography than wildlife but I am learning. Brooks Falls is a unique place in the world, close proximity to the bears while standing up on overhead platforms. Getting to the platforms is via a 1 mile trail and several times we encountered close bears coming along the trail. Fortunately they are getting all the food they want during the salmon runs and don't take any interest in people. Of course we were not allowed to have so much as a stick of Chapstick in our pockets or packs.

The experience was even more amazing than I had imaged it would be!

Many people had the huge lenses but my biggest lens is a Nikon 300mm PF and often I used the 70-200 lens. No tripods are allowed on the main platforms but elbows on the railing worked good for me.
