Would somebody be able to share some experience/feedback on the Sony GM FE 14 mm f1.8 and Sony FE G 12-24 mm F4. Both of them are light and compact.

I have the Sony FE G 12-24, f/4, and it works fine. I haven't used it a great deal, but when I have used it, it has done just fine for me.

The Sony 14 has a bulbus front element that prohibits using filters, so Im using a Voigtlander 15/4.5. It graciously accepts 52mm filters.

SAB SonyAlphaBlog MTF-Standard sharpness tests results, tested on the 61mp Sony A7RIV.

https://sonyalpha.blog/2019/11/10/which-lenses-to-maximise-the-potential-of-the-sony-a7riv/

The Sony 14mm f1.8 GM tests Outstanding in sharpness, the top results category.

The Sony 12-24mm f4 G only tests Very Good, two categories below Outstanding.

Cheers

Meaningless out of context "reportage".

Yes. I see a large SLR lens with its rear barrel section lengthened, at least from B&Hs product photos and specs. If your rear element is almost flush with the mounting flange, that would certainly indicate an updated design.

I do realize theres no 100% assurance that such info is perfectly accurate, but generally its rather trustworthy.
.

Example of 15mm SLR lens in E-mount.

Thaz good news. An instance where the old "Specifications are subject to change without notice" is actually beneficial.

No it is actual MTF-Standard testing that is objective reporting. But I am not surprised with your latest babbling.
