Maybe it's Win 11...
Bottom center of the pop-out slider.
It's not immediate, but they do get placed in the Comcast trashcan.

I think you posted the same problem some time ago, consider deleting the email a lot more often, less frustration, and less blaming the internet provider. Could provide a sense of satisfaction for you.

I am going to see that works in Windows 10. Thanks.

Depending on which version of Outlook and server type (I’ve been using it for 20+ years also), in account settings, there is a switch for “leave copy on server”. If this isn’t checked, ,it will delete from the server as soon as the email is downloaded, but problematical if you have multiple clients accessing your mailbox, such as a desktop and a phone.

That's exactly why I use POP for getting mail from some servers with some email clients on different computers (devices). I can check email on computer 1, computer 2, and my phone. If I use IMAP and downloaded to my phone, it is no longer available to be seen on the other two computers.

Jerry, not sure if this will help solve your issue long term, but you might check the account settings in GMail and see if it’s set as POP3 or IMAP for incoming email. To reiterate, here is the difference (courtesy Microsoft):

IMAP

IMAP allows you to access your email wherever you are, from any device. When you read an email message using IMAP, you aren't actually downloading or storing it on your computer; instead, you're reading it from the email service. As a result, you can check your email from different devices, anywhere in the world: your phone, a computer, a friend's computer.

IMAP only downloads a message when you click on it, and attachments aren't automatically downloaded. This way you're able to check your messages a lot more quickly than POP.

POP

POP works by contacting your email service and downloading all of your new messages from it. Once they are downloaded onto your PC or Mac, they are deleted from the email service. This means that after the email is downloaded, it can only be accessed using the same computer. If you try to access your email from a different device, the messages that have been previously downloaded won't be available to you.

Sent mail is stored locally on your PC or Mac, not on the email server.

A lot of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) give you email accounts that use POP.

I have over 72,000 emails in my Spectrum RoadRunner Inbox. Deleting them isn't easy. If everything works right - which is the exception - it takes at least thirty seconds to delete 100 emails after I click on the trash can and then click on Yes. Sometimes, it can take several minutes. I figure I will be waiting over 600 hours just for the emails to delete, and that doesn't include the selecting and clicking. When things aren't working just right, I can't even delete them because I'm waiting for Spectrum to get its act together. Gmail, on the other hand, deletes 100 emails in about two seconds. I've used 4.8 of my 5GB limit, so I'll have to keep deleting.

The deleting limit is 100, and there's no way to automatically delete them after a period of time.

Math never was my strong suit, but if it takes you 600 hours to delete 72,000 messages you are deleting only about 120 messages per HOUR!

I think you mean it would take you (72000/200 =) 360 minutes, or about 6 hours to delete them all if you could delete them at the rate of 200 per minute.

If you’d delete the trash and spam every day or so, you wouldn’t have the problem.
