Nice subject but it would have been less distracting if you had removed the crab grass.

Great photo ... except... I agreed the sprigs should have been trimmed away, I took a small scissors with me when doing fungi one time when they were "blooming" and trimmed the offending sprout away. Another tool is a little potting shovel to trench for the camera to get an up shot. You did get a good low angle tho. there is a stick in the near background... move that away... No environmental permitting needed to make those changes.

Thanks for the comment Curmudgeon, I have the same problem, (I'm a couple of months away from turning 79) I couldn't do this shot if my Fuji X100V didn't have a flip up
live view finder on the back.
