I got an email from a friend this morning. Late last night, she saw a car parked on the road, and a young woman walking up and down. She went out to see if she was okay. She had an argument with her boyfriend, and she threw his keys out the car window. My friend got her metal detector and helped her look, but after midnight, they still hadn't found the keys. I don't know where the boyfriend was, and I don't know what happened to the young woman. I'll have to see how the story ended. That was a real test for the boyfriend. Haven't we seen that happen in lots of movies?

I remember once almost 50 years ago a buddy and I were driving up a street at speed at a woman in front of us jumped out of a moving car because she was having a fight with her boyfriend, she was a mess.

Men are awful. It's relatively easy to beat up most women.

The story then continued the fight had been some hours earlier. The blonde girlfriend had thrown the keys out somewhere else from the boyfriend's car, not her car she was pacing all around.

And lots of times on internet posts! Although it never seems to be posted by the person who witnessed it, always by a “friend”😳

The couple was back there this morning. My friend had to go out, so she couldn't help them look. I wonder if his car is still there. I'll get more info this afternoon. So exciting!

Jerry, you are starting to act like Nancy Grace, and she is ugly. She can make the ugliest looking faces just talking!

AND...the moral of the story is to always keep a spare "hide-a-key" for your car. Be it a hole in the pocket or an angry woman, you can always have a way to get home.

My Fit doesn't need a key - just the fob. I keep it in my pocket, attached by a cord to a belt loop. As long as I put on the right pants, I'm all set.

One major problem with that system is a dead fob battery. The car tells me when the battery is getting weak. If it's really weak, they say to hold it up against the START button. The fob contains a key to open the door, but the key can't start the car.

Jerry, late one night I once walked by fellow under a street light on his hands and knees obvivously looking for something. I asked him what he had lost and he said his ring had slipped off his finger over by his car which was parked several feet away in the shadows. I asked "Then why aren't you looking for your ring over where you lost it?" He replied "Yeah, but the light is better over here"
