A while back I asked about experiences with the Win 11 upgrade. Mostly positive feedback.

Today my questions are: how long did it take, and did you have to monitor the process?

I started my update and went about my day, checking in hours later. I had no troubles on my new desktop.

You could have done the upgrade before you finish reading all the comments you will get on your post. just do it.

The length of time to download is dependent on your internet speed and the time to install is dependent on your computers processing speed.

Mine took 23 minutes to download and 35 minutes to install.

Is there any advantage to installing Windows 11 over ten on a desktop without a touch screen?

Touch screen?
Who uses a touch screen?
I sure don't and I made sure my HP Victus wasn't a tough screen.
YUCK!
Fingerprints all over the screen.

I've had no real problems with it the longest part of it is the downloading.

It is faster, particularly from a boot. Eventually, Win 10 ends support (2025) and it is free (now). I had no issues and the interface is not very different. I see no reasons not to do the update to Win 11, providing your PC is compatible.

Thanks! Somehow I had the idea that it was geared more towards lap tops and touch screen tablets. My computer is compatible, but I have a year to think about it and mine is working well.
