Really nice images, Linda. Contrary to what color analysts say, these hot colored images are relaxing to me - I suppose that may be because it’s the end of the day and time to wind down from our labors.

Fabulous set, Linda. I’m also a big fan of your artistry in #1, but each was equally special in their own way.
Thank you for your lovely comments, Joe. So glad you enjoyed.

I like your sense of curiosity and adventure, Merry! Many thanks for commenting.

What a neat observation and idea, Stan. Thank you!

(full disclosure: I shot these just before and after sunrise )

I love color and your artistry shows it well, Linda. So glad you have the patience and knowledge to create these beauties. I especially like #2. I guess the lone tree image thing never gets too old for me.

No1 has it for me Linda, the colours, composition and painterly effect are all attractive and make a real eye-catcher.

Surprise for me! I'm not much of a morning person so I seldom see the sunrise except in the winter when I manage to get up earlier than usual, so forgive me for not recognizing a sunrise when I see it.

I know exactly what you mean - but the opposite is me: I haven't seen a sunset in years

Very nice Linda, I like them all. What I like about them is their simplicity. Each has a simple foreground subject that is complimented by a colorful but not overpowering background. I love the artsy treatment of the sky in #3 and I love the tree in #2, hint...hint...hint.......

Hmm, "hint x3" what could it be? I'm pretty dense these days, but maybe you'd like me to add the tree to #2 also?

Or maybe you meant do the "treatment" of #3 on #2 also? Here's one quick version of each. More to address tomorrow, I see - though I've already attempted to remove that messy treetop in the vertical shot. I failed; the colors of the sky and clouds in the original made cloning a wee bit difficult

I'm delighted you visited and commented. Thank you Mike!

I enjoy simplistic images and all 3 of yours fall into that category. I think I like 2 and 3 due to your use of analogous colors and 3 has a texture of canvas or possibly concrete to give it a painting feel as does the plant, which I enjoyed. And 1 is very creative in how you used color in the clouds. I think your crop choices helped to give (me at least) the feeling of openness airiness and helped with the simplicity feeling. I enjoyed all 3. Bev

Thank you so much for your detailed response, Bev! Open and airy is definitely what exists in that direction from where I was standing and aiming. Just a harsh, treeless ridgeline. It took awhile to adjust from lush Maine greenery to long views and few trees in central/eastern WA, but in 20 years I've adapted

Here's what I saw in my head, but the framing of the sunset between the two trees works also.
