Advice from a photography class instructor many years ago. These were all (even the butterflies) found amongst the foliage, on the bottom side of leaves, on stems, etc., except one.

Shot with a Panasonic G9, the 40-150 f2.8 lens, 1.4X TC, and a Godox TT350 flash. Everything set to manual. Show in raw and processed with DXO Photolab 4 and output as jpgs with 3450 pixels on the long side.

The newly emerged butterfly from chrysalis + the caterpiller on flower top are WOW!!

Luv the variety and colors! Agree with Linda about the Skipper on the blossom with the caterpillar of unknown future.

Absolutely wonderful set. It took me a while to realize that was a cat in No. 2. IMO that shot is Best in Set

wow! awesome set of shots, jwh...the closeup of the caterpillar, the monarch, and the robber fly
are amazing...enjoyed the whole set!
