Not exactly sure what Jfan had in mind here but he got busy with other matters so I get to choose.
We recently had a request for a day of Sepia and that makes things easy for me. Most cameras and post systems have a SEPIA FILTER and it is kinda cool and makes things look sort of old fashion.

Im up for any other surprise and RED is always fun to see.

I just went back a few days in my files to find some images that looked like they would convert well.

the last one was scanned and was originally sepia....

Hi Nan - great opening and fantastic photos posted to date! Seems a big warm welcome for the Daily Challenge originator - HELLO Sherrie from across the pond!! I'm new and spending way too much time admiring everyone's talents and tastes:0) Could someone give some really basic tips as to how to photoshop the image? I'm having trouble with the suggested software download - I can't seem to find the page!?! and I don't think I have a sepia option of my camera - anyway here is a pretty mediocre first attempt - but I'll try some more - thanks again!

Thank you Amyinsparta - just had a go in Picasso which of course does it in one click Duh!![/quote]

Sheenagh - now take that photo and add some saturation, it should make it more golden brown look or sepia. Just play and see if you like the changes. This is cute as can be.

Wahawk...what is that filter you are using...seems a little different in color then the rest of the sepias...i do like the amber waves of grain.....

Mg...you selected some great images for conversion

good work on the BRIDGE ROADRUNNER

Hi Rudolph...very nice work as usual with your special effects...thanks for visiting the challenge today

Pea you shouldnt have any problem...do what you do with black and white and then convert...should work just fine.

My thoughts were that the basic Sepia that I was getting from PSPx4 was a little light and I wanted it more pronounced. SO.....

I converted to Sepia
Then increased Contrast and played with exposure
Then increased Saturation
Just played around with these options, plus tried some by converting from Color directly to Sepia, and others by converting first to B&W and then to Sepia, etc.

shouldn't they be a sort of brownish goldish color? That is what I thought sepia was....

RR, Wilkes-Barre shot on P7, is really appealing.

Sheenagh, OMG, those eyes! Doesn't matter the color. She's beautiful.
