Very nice captures, Chief...having many of those days here also!!

Thank you, Jim. A few days ago we had a pretty good day early. Not really hot and reasonable humidity, a promise of things to come. But it sure didn't last long! Lately it's heavy thunderstorms every afternoon, and that doesn't cool things down at all! But, hard to complain too much. We ARE here voluntarily and still getting good photo OPS. But I think this will be our last summer in Florida!

They all look nice to me Chief. I’ll bet it is hot and humid, how are the mosquitoes?

Thank you, Frank. It was still early but pretty good light. ISO was 500. The noise was coming from a really deep crop, I think. Even for the D850! These guys were so far away that I had a hard time staying in focus, the camera kept refocusing on the background. I was going to warn viewers that they probably wouldn't download very well but I forgot to do so! If I had thought about it, I wouldn't have provided the download option. I appreciate your input
Thank you, Frank. It was still early but pretty go... (show quote)

Thank you, texan! Yeah, we got the Tri Colored Heron for the breeding plumage. Didn't even know he had a fish until we got him on the computer screen!
Funny thing about the dragons, we could easily see the gold/red on the wings but the camera couldn't. We took shot after shot and he was just a small spec so it was hard to get just the right angle for the color to show up on the sensor and the LCD back screen. That and some post processing color saturation finally got the shots here. These modern cameras are something else!!
Thank you, texan! Yeah, we got the Tri Colored Her... (show quote)

good for y'all for persevering and sticking with it till you had success!

Thank you, Jeff! Yep HOT!! and HUMID!! But, surprisingly, mosquitoes haven't been a problem. We are counting our blessings. But we haven't been tromping through the grasses and the jungle like we would be in the "winter" either. I'm looking forward to cooler temps so we can do a little of that! I'm itching to get some landscapes/junglescapes!

Back to really hot and really humid and really slow! But, again, we soldiered on! About the only thing that wasn't slow was the Dragons.
I hope you like!
