Philadelphia Navy Yard, Part 3.

This is the final installment of the photos from the Kelby World Wide Walk at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The star of the show is the USS John F. Kennedy which floats with quiet dignity while awaiting the scrappers' torches. The cannon is a 16" naval rifle, barrel no. 243, which was formerly housed as the middle gun in turret 1 on the USS New Jersey.

The JFK is a sorry sight compared to what she looked like in her prime.
