Neither; it was Hiroshi Koizumi and Shin'ichi Sekinaza in Mothra, 1961.

It was featured in the Thomas Harris novel and subsequent movie, "The Red Dragon."

Sorry for the delay in responding. I had a heck of a time identifying it, for the same reason. This is not colorized via Photoshop. The closest I have come to seeing something similar is a Zebra Swallowtail, which is normally seen in black and white, but sometimes shown with blue tints. The varieties on my butterfly bush are all more vividly colored than those I have seen in most photos, though. Thank you.
