I think I'm seeing a second horn there, so from what I read, the two-horned are quite endangered to start with, and then being a white rhino would make this one doubly rare. Nice shot!
We have been to Kenya and know 'white' is derived from 'wide', meaning white rhinos have a wide mouth that enables them to forage on low grass. Nothing to do with their color.
No doubt some rich American will fly over and shoot it.
Hello. I just returned from a Safari in Kenya and Tanzania. Went to the rhino area and loved it. I have some photos as well. So wonderful seeing the animals in their habitat.
