Some times you just get lucky...

I'v only seen one other humpback whale bubble net feeding frenzy, and it was too far away to photograph. Two weeks ago on a whale watching tour out of Juneau that changed, and I happened to notice it just before they broke the surface. in the second photo, notice how distended the baleen is, full of water and straining it for lunch. I counted 11 whales, and maybe more. Canon R5, RF-100-400 at 214mm, f7.1, 1/2000 sec, iso3200.
