LR let me down trying to make a slideshow, so I thought I'd use ProShow Gold, a program I've used before. I never installed it on this computer, and I won't be able to install it because the company went out of business. I entered the key number, but, of course, it can't contact their servers. Great security. Even people who bought the program can't use it, so software piracy is out of the question. I can use it free for two weeks, but it has the large "Evaluation Copy" displayed on the screen.
Going out of business is the ultimate way to secure your software against piracy.
Their site recommends using Photopia, subscription software. No, thanks.
Oy...
Rock, hard place.

I used it prior to their going out of business and it still works, mostly. Too bad you hadn’t installed it before the closing! I agree about Photopia, too. Good program, but not at that price.

I bought it in 2012 ($70), and I've been through several computers since then. I have some Movavi programs, and they have slide software at $45/year or $65 one-time purchase. I spent quite a bit of time with Lightroom, and I'm sorry it doesn't work reliably.

If you still have the computer ProShow Gold was originally on, you can transfer it (using transfer software)(and any other software's). It worked for me, this was after they went out of, er, business. I have ProShow Producer.
I googled " how to transfer software from one computer to another ", for instructions!

software privacy is not out of question. I know there are crack program to authorize the software.
Why don't you just use Adobe Bridge to do your slide shows ??? I have been using it for quite a few years to show my photos. I used Nikon's View NX for years until they discontinued it. I don't use slide show programs that knit photos into a video. But Bridge works just fine and it's part of my Adobe photo package..

Thanks. Could they make it any more difficult to download? Looking for t, I found "Free Trial." It's supposedly free, though. Then I had to sign into Creative cloud. It's been at least ten minutes of "Waiting" and starting over. I'll keep at it for a while.
Still "Waiting."
EDIT: Got it!

Filmora by Wondershare is free - and highly rated. I have not had a need for slideshow software, but Filmora looks quite comprehensive.

Thanks. I figured out Filmora, but two pictures are turned sideways. Odd. They are about the same size and proportions as the others. Well, two out of 132 isn't bad.

Glad it works for you; now what music goes with it?

Funny! I spent a bit of time putting 132 pics into a slideshow. I played it, saved it, and exported it, converting it to mp4. It looked fine - except for the "Free Version" at the bottom of the screen. I would have to pay $80 to get rid of that. I can use it for a week for free, but I'd still have that banner on the screen. Oh, well. It beat doing housework. I think I'll start over tomorrow with Movavi.
