We moved from Lake Havasu last year. Those little quail were one of my favorite things, they are just so cute. I'd throw out food scraps and sometimes have about 20 enjoying their food. I love your photos.

nice capture! Your 2 "preys" on the gravel at the cactus seem to be young ...and are certainly quite small subjects...how did You discover them on such a back ground looking like their feathers= camo'? Were they moving?

There were 6 about 1/3rd grown chicks + Papa. They scattered when I approached, I got the first shot just in time, and saw 3 more chicks on the other side of the cactus. They must have thought they were safe, so they just moved around on the edge of the cactus for a couple of minutes giving me a chance for several keepers.
