This afternoon found me at Goleta Slough with my friends, Bob and Pam watching for an Osprey to fish. There was said to be 2-3 in the area and Pam who had gotten there first had seen two. Within a few minutes of Bob and I showing up an Osprey did fly as if he was going to grab a fish out of the water but at the last moment he veered up and landed on a power line directly above us. I was able to get these photos of him but he nor the other one ever fished. Oh well, it's a start. Maybe next time.

Thank you very much Dan. I appreciate you stopping by to take a look and comment.
These birds are very determined to catch a fish. Of course that is what we are all waiting for. I have not had one perch so close as this one did for my photos this time so it made for a great day. But the real attraction is catching them swooping down on the water, then coming up with a fish in its talons. Hopefully soon I will get that one.
Where do you live? Come on out to So. CA and I will take you to exactly the area where they fish.
