Most folks follow the signs, and rightfully so for their sakes. Signs along the road that pass The Knoll inform visitors of the option to turn left to go to Dead Horse Point State Park or continue south to The Island In The Sky (or 'Canyonlands' as most who 'see' all of what they believe to be Canyonlands N.P. tend to go) another dozen miles south.
This view is from a mile or so south of The Knoll, out one of the unmarked two-tracks not mentioned on the signs, out in what on maps is called Gray's Pasture.
Your outstanding use of the foreground is wonderful, Jim!
Got some dramatic clouds out on the horizon, but those darned flowers got In the way. Great shot though.

The composition is enhanced by the wonderful foreground subjects and lighting. Getting off the beaten path sometimes holds great rewards. Nice work.
