Prices out of control ...

"Amazon was once the place to go to for the best deals...not anymore though." In total agreement with this. If you buy groceries like I do perhaps you have noticed that the prices are higher on a weekly basis.
Its the same at the grocery store!!!
How much would that be on a "per gallon" basis..?

It pays to shop around.

I've found it cheaper to buy a new printer that includes ink than to buy replacement inks in the past.
I think at those prices I’d just send them to a print shop

Fortunately most things are good for quite a while after the expired date.
According to the Bible Our expiration date is at 3 score and 10. I Am somewhat past that and still working fine! My shutter is a bit clunky and my flash is dim but My image is good! At least I think so....

I also have been using Precision Color ink in my P600 since it was new and the ink is VERY close to Epson. The cost for ink and a fresh set of cartridges is about $240 and the software to avoid resetting the chips is about $60.
And. . .-----always buy through unknown sites using PayPal. That way if it is fraud, you get your money back immediately. That happened to me lately with a lens. The seller offered PayPal and immediately sent the money into a private named account rather than one named the same as the site. When the transaction was not forthcoming, I presented the case to PayPal I got my money back in five minutes. Interestingly, the same fraudulent site and offering is still up and comes up with google search for that lens!----ew

Yes they have always done me well and supply icc profiles for their ink and certain papers. I use a Canon pro 100. I also use their products in my 2 ts8320s. Good reasonable stuff
Have you ever considered 3rd party inks? I have a Canon Pro 100 and have been using Precision Color inks for the last 3 years. I've not seen any difference in image quality. Precision Color provides ICC profiles for their inks that are spot on. I've had prints hanging in my home (in AZ) for the last 3 years and have yet to see any change in the image quality. Of course, I don't expect prints to last as long with these inks as they do with OEM inks, but for now, I'm really happy with the results. I can refill a cartridge for $1.60. I'm very particular about the prints I show and couldn't be happier with my results. They do make ink for the P800. Here's the link:
