When I go camping, I never worry about drinking contaminated water. I always have a fifth of 12 year old single malt with a few Ashtons.

That single malt would have made a good chaser for the filtered mess we had to drink.
We were mining agate once near Denio Nevada and ran out of water 40 miles from nearest water.
I won't mention what we filtered there.
