The move to Tenn. was the result of a gun law that Mass. passed.

Smith and Wesson, based in Massachusetts since 1852, is also moving most of its operations to Tennessee.

There are 50 ways that this could end up in the Attic. Let's try not to go there.

The piece shown in the photo was made in Accokeek Maryland. They too moved out because of the gun restrictions

I would like to see more artistic firearm photos here.
Does anyone remember that Japanese fello who had many, many cover photos, in the later 1980's, for American Handgunner magazine? His work, all done with out flash is truly inspiring.

Ken

I remember his photos well, but not his name. I'm pretty sure he retired.

I'm glad to hear that, being a Tennessee native. While I don't live there now, it's still nice to hear of good things going on there and I consider industry moving into the state a positive thing. Ford announced earlier this year they were building a new plant in Memphis at a cost of over five billion dollars. The S&W 9mm is my choice of a handgun by default. Over thirty years ago my left hand was crushed and while it is fully functional, there is quite a bit of weakness in it. I found it difficult to rack the slide of most 9mm pistols, but S&W makes one called the EZ 9mm. It takes less strength and works well for me.

A Czech firearms manufacturer that purchased Colt Holding Co. is delaying plans for a new production site in Arkansas as it focuses on Connecticut, but will not soon increase the West Hartford workforce of 300, a top executive said. Looks like the move to Little Rock, if it takes place, will be at least 3-5 years down the road. Glad I had my 'Intruder' Commemorative 1911 made before they sold to CZ, not that CZ makes inferior weapons mind you.

Thanks Yorkiebyte, we had a minimum order from Intruder (A-6) veterans and Colt made a special engraved edition about 4 years ago before they sold to CZG....after that run they said no more. I have not fired it nor do I think I will, just love the weapon, I have Sig and Springfield .45's that I practice with....ps, here's the other side and I might add, one fabulous aircraft....Cheers

Massachusetts has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the US with numerous laws. Irony is the Revolutions started here and the government seems to wanting to restrict citizens access to guns.
