Well, I'm 90 so I think that I'll just stick with my obsolete equipment. Harry

I'm not far behind you, and am hoping I have a copy of my extended warranty sitting around somewhere. My wife assures me that she bought one after my last medical.

Warranty does you no good. If you break they give your wife a new husband. Good for her not you.

Used price of the D6 into $4400 range? I don't know that but used price of the Z9 is sometime $12000 although the new price is $5500.

We just sold a used Z9 for $8000.

It sold very fast cuz that was really a very competitive price. There are completed sales on eb@y above $12,000.

I had a D6 and now I got the Nikon Z9 to love the camera better. I traded all but 2 items of the DLSR era. My 14-24mm F2.8 Nikon lens and my Nikon D4 which has been converted to Infared. I only use now my Z9 with Z lenses big difference. Glad I switched.

Just got my second Z9 and having owned the D850 and D6. The D6 was for sports and action and the D850 for everything else. The reason for the second Z9 is that I now don't have to change lens when I am out shooting. One has 24-70 Z lens and on the other 70-200 or 100-400 Z lens. Don't have to worry about getting dirt on the lens or sensor.

I have been watching the used prices on D6's and they falling into the 4,400.00 range. The Z9 at 5,500.00 is making it a hard sale for those that want to upgrade to the Z9. Just thinking it wouldn't be good throwing money into the D6 when the Z9 has so much to offer. Makes me glad I never bought a new D6 but if the D6 keeps trending downward I just might pick one up.

I have both a D6 and D850 and have purchased my second Z9. The Z9s have made my photo shoots so much easier. The Z9 not only gives you fast speed but the resolution of the D850. You may not need the resolution of the D850 but I print large panos (44" by 15' is my largest). If you don't need the resolution the D6 would be a fine camera.
