Dragons in the woods

It has been around 90* around the ponds here. The birds aren't helping as my technique is to walk slowly and when I disturb the dragons, wait and see where they land, then ease up on them. As soon as they fly, often as not they will be snatched up before I get a chance. So, I moved up the hill into the woods where there are quite a few small springs and it is at least 10* cooler. The lighting was uneven, but I found a few that worked out ok.
The Meadowhawks were all teneral and probably S.pallipes. The Striped Meadowhawk.
The Spreadwing, I believe is Lestes congener, the Spotted Spreadwing. Named for the tiny spots on the lower abdomen. They show up clearly when downloaded. The girl eating the moth and the other I am not sure of.

A couple of the shots are similar, but with different backgrounds. This is a result of moving slightly when shooting, so as to get a different effect.

Wow Vic this is a great set! very sharp shots and a nice variety. Your hungry lady looks like a Northern or Tule. I'd be leaning toward Tule though. Be careful out there in that heat.
