Nikon D7500 fell out of car in parking lot. Camera only works in manual mode. All other program modes give ERR message. Cleaned body and lens contacts and tried to reset camera. No luck. Any ideas?

As a new / current camera model, try calling Nikon. Check their website for the 800 number.

800-NikonUS. I'm guessing you're looking at an expensive repair. Call Nikon and check.

Did you try a different lens?
Different SD card?
Did you remove the battery and SD card for 15 minutes and then restart the camera?

Good luck...

Google has a video if you type in What does the err message indicate.

I have had good luck using the Support page at Nikon.USA.

Or you can call them.

I have tried 3 different lenses with the same result. Will try the same lenses on my grandson's D3500 body. Right now I'm thinking it's the body.

I agree that it's the body. I am thinking what is wrong though. Since the camera still work in manual it seems that the camera simply can't communicate with the lens. It's kind of the same situation when you have a non CPU lens. The camera still work but only in manual. So no communication but you already cleaned the contacts. Well I guess you will have to send it to Nikon and of course that is very likely an expensive fix.
