White Light Solar - Herschel Wedge & Sony Cameras

Another clear, sunny afternoon. Hauled out the William Optics Megrez 90 with a Herschel Wedge, 2.5 PowerMate and a monochrome Sony A6000. After shooting video and images with the A6000 I decided to give the Sony A6100 a go. The monochrome camera is definitely superior!

Oh how I wish the A6000 could shoot 4K video. Better yet would be a monochrome crop mode camera that could shoot 8K video! I know, in my dreams...

Enjoy!

Excellent solar imaging, the detail on the sunspots and photosphere convention cells is outstanding.
